I've had the pleasure of riding this bike...Runs Sweet!

A few notable bikes that rolled into the party and caught my eye before I put the camera down for the night.

Had a great time at the Strange Days pre-party Friday night....took these photos out in the parking lot early before settling in for some serious drinking, should have taken some shots of the people partying and having a good time at the Tiki bar but I was having such a good time myself..... snapping photo's was the last thing on my mind.

Tinker's Indian Four on it's way home

The AMCA Rhinebeck National was great this year, attendance by the public was down but the hardcore guys and vendor's made it. The weather was dry for a change but very hot. We stayed over Saturday night and went for a perfect early evening ride to a local bar for some cold ones, scored a few good parts that I will try to post on soon. If you love the old iron and didn't make it you should have!

Flatheads, Panheads, Shovelheads and It's Snowing AGAIN!!!!!!!

LET THEM HEAR YA COMIN!

Great 48 Panhead at Hebron AMCA meet this past summer.

So every week since the new year we've had at least one snow storm and temp's below zero. Been working on the bikes a little and praying for Spring. In the meantime I found these pictures from last Summers Hebron Conn. AMCA meet.

Keeping with the Yankee Chapters motto of "Ride em Don't Hide em" I saw this sidecar rig rolling around the meet several times just sorry I never got a shot of it on the move the owner told me the year but I forgot, any idea's?

Cabin Fever / Pan's & Knuckle's

It's been cold and snowy here in the Northeast. So cold it's hard to even get motivated to go out to the garage never mind work on anything.
So in the spirit of things to come (WARMER WEATHER) here are a couple of shots form this past summer.
I took a quick ride a little north for a late afternoon lunch and a beer. while I'm sitting there eating and shooting the shit two friends form the AMCA roll in Bobby on his Panhead and Chris on his Knucklehead.
Can't wait for Spring!

Bike Maintenance Made Easy or I'm just getting old?

After 35 years of  riding, working on & building motorcycles I finally bought a full size bike lift, first time I used it I realized I should have got one about 35 years ago.

Happy New Year

A new year and time for some change.

I decided to make some additional changes to my 1999 Softail.
This machine has been my go to bike for long weekends and then some for years. For the longest time I left it stock but over the past few years I have been trying to give it an Old School look as best I can, here I just replaced the chrome stock 5 and 3/4 inch head light with a black 7" unit. In past post's you can read about the other changes I made mostly cosmetic and some maintenance items.

It's amazing the difference just the right changes will do for a late model bike....I like it!
You can see in the photo of the new light on the shop floor my next project in the background, it's my 1957 Panhead, got this pretty close to finished then put her on hold for a very very long time and catching a LOT of SHIT from my buddy Rich to Get-her-done, I will post on it soon but it's been so long I will have to go though the whole bike....forgot where I left off and exactly what needs done or redone!
