End of the Season......

We're in our final days of riding...the leaves and colors are all gone here in the Northeast. I guess we should be thankful for the warm temp's considering it's November.

Who's been a scooter pilot long enought in the NYC area to remember this shit?

I recently found some old patches I saved from many moons ago.

The Pit biker shop was located on Bleeker St. in the Village NYC in the late 70's very early 80's, the leather Indian Larry patch was Larry's shop after his Psycho Cycles shop but prior to Gasoline Alley and the biker build off media/TV bullshit of the late 90's early 2000's. Met and got to know Larry for a while in the early 80's in NYC at the time you could catch him blasting all over Manhattan on his flathead Indian Chief Bobber...hence the moniker for those that might not know.

Nicest Bike of the Meet...at least in my opinion.

Loaded!!!

As I prepare to attended the 2019 Chesapeake Chapter of the AMCA Fall meet at the White Rose M/C club house in Pennsylvania, I dug up these photos from the 2012 meet. Man I just love how this "Sled"/"Coney Island"/"Congo Cruiser" call it what you will is set up..."Spanish Louie" exhaust, Invader Mags and all.

A New Year and a slightly new direction....... Kawasaki KLR650.

When I was growing up I always wanted a mini/dirt bike but coming from a family with no history in motorcycles I was always told no. At a very young age I developed a fascination for Hot Rods and motorcycles, I remember as a kid the neighbor across the streets brother coming up from the Bronx to visit he would park his Harley ElectraGlide out front, it was HiFi Red and Birch White a fully loaded 60's "Congo Cruiser" long dual exhaust with "Spanish Louie" tips, windshield and bullet lights everywhere. So where am I going with all this? and the 2006 Kawasaki pictured below?..MEXICO!!

STAY TUNED MORE TO COME...

AMCA Yankee Chapter National Meet 2017

The ride up early Friday morning was perfect... slightly overcast and cool with very little traffic.

Two early original paint H-Ds one single and one twin. It's amazing the stuff that shows up at these smaller meets!

Knuckle's, Pan's and a beautiful white Flathead Indian Chief.

Went on the road run Friday afternoon and the banquet that evening..... Great Ride! Great Food! Great Meet! and Great People! As always a job well done by the Yankee Chapter. If you can you should check this one out in 2018.

Hebron AMCA meet 2016 / 2017

Yankee Chapter National Meet 2016

Since I'm getting ready for the Yankee Chapter AMCA meet next weekend in Hebron Connecticut I figured it was about time I posted the photo's form last year......Some day I'm going to start keeping this blog up to date!...Anyway Hebron is one of the better AMCA meets here in the Northeast... small, old school, affordable and great people!

Patsy's 54 and my 53 in the camp area

 Flashy Sportster

Pat and I took a ride Saturday afternoon and found this old gas station setup.... made for the perfect photo op.

Posting these 2016 pictures reminds me just how great this meet is. I will try to post this years photo's in a more timely manner.

A BETTER TIME.....WOODSTOCK AUG. 15,16 and 17th 1969

The site of the original concert is only an hour and change from the area where I grew up and still live. As I grow older I look back in time and think about things......... I was just a little to young to attend, but old enough to realize it was a special event at the end of a very unique time in this Great Country's history.
